FOUNDERS

Wayan Sumarta
President
Born and raised in Seminyak, Wayan Sumarta completed his formal education at Bali’s renowned Udayana University and then continued his quest for learning with a succession of hotel related courses. He joined forces with a foreign company in 1990 to plan and establish The Villas. This was a property that changed the face of Bali’s hospitality industry forever and was instrumental in shifting focus from hotel accommodation to private villas. The overwhelming success of The Villas was soon followed by other properties including Akhyati Villa, KoriUbud, Jimbaran Villa and The Elysian. Wayan Sumarta then established another company with an Australian enterprise to set up and manage The Sentosa Villa in Batubelig. He actively supports local community events and is a patron of the annual Bali Spirit Festival.
Ketut Sumerta
Vice President
As a graduate from the polytechnic at Udayana University, Ketut Sumerta has dedicated himself to Bali’s evolving tourism industry for the past 20 years. He enjoyed a succession of executive positions for several international chain hotels including Ramada Hotel in Kuta and Aston Hotel in Nusa Dua. His career has given him the opportunity to travel extensively and conduct promotional activities across Asia, Australia, South Africa, Canada and Europe. Ketut Sumerta’s working experience and technical knowledge covers all aspects of hotel and villa operations. However, he is particularly passionate about marketing and human resources.
Ketut Kanten
CEO
Having majored in tourism with a diploma and degree from one of Bali's most reputable universities, Ketut Kanten is a seasoned hospitality professional. A year-long management trainee program at a 5 star property game him a solid understanding of different departments and enabled him to rapidly rise through the hierarchy. He is well-versed in all aspects of hotel and villa operations and has spent the past 15 years in senior sales and marketing roles for a number of internationally branded hotels in Bali as well as Lombok. His strong network of local, regional and international travel partners have enabled him to successfully carry out promotional activities in Asian, Europe, and Australia.

Wayan Supandi
Managing Director
Upon graduating from Bali’s BPLP Tourism Institute, Wayan Supandi embarked on a hospitality career that has spanned many years. His first professional appointment was as Sales Manager for Holiday Inn Resort Lombok that enabled him to travel and participate in international trade shows. Committed to quality and the sustainable growth of Bali’s tourism sector, Wayan Supandi has enjoyed a succession of roles as General Manager for a number of respected properties. These include Pertiwi Resort & Spa Ubud, The Beverly Hills Bali, Sentosa Private Villas & Spa, Fontana Hotel and Ossotel Legian. He has served as an active member for various groups by contributing to Bali Hotel Association, Ubud Hotel Association and Bali Villa Association.

Gufron
Director – Sales & Marketing
As a seasoned hotelier, Gufron has spent more than 24 years working in an industry that he knows well and loves. His particular area of expertise is developing and implementing winning sales strategies to penetrate highly competitive markets such as Europe, Asia Pacific and America. Having enjoyed a meteoric rise through the luxury hotel hierarchy, he achieved managerial status as a relatively young age. Gufron was Director of Sales & Marketing at The Seminyak – Beach Resort & Spa for many years. He played an instrumental role in its re-branding following a multi-million dollar renovation project. He is currently General Manager at the Suarti Boutique Village and a driving force at Alpha Hotel Management.
Putu Yudia Hartawan
Corporate Creative Manager
Passionate about sales and marketing in this era digital technology, Putu Yudia Hartawan joined Alpha Hotel Management with over seven years of hospitality experience. He is responsible for maintaining relationships with all network partners and increasing our client base through effective channels of distribution. He keeps abreast with global trends and is familiar with all relevant hospitality related online software (channel manager, GDS, online booking engines, online reputation management software and CRM etc). He currently leads a creative team of 10 members including specialists in SEO and web design.
Komang Sabana
Corporate Sales Manager
Having experienced working for well over five years in both the travel and hotel sectors, Komang Sabana has a solid understanding of hospitality sales and marketing. His duties include maintaining relationships with a network partners and clients through effective channels of distribution. This role entails being familiar with hospitality related online software (channel manager, GDS, online booking engine, online reputation management software and CRM etc).
Komang Sulistyawati
Corporate Chief Accounting
As a graduate from the faculty of economics from Udayana University, Komang Sulistyawati majored in accounting. She has a solid background in finance for the hotel industry having worked for a succession of profitable properties including Berry Amour Villas, Eden Villas, SILQ Villas, Anantara Seminyak and Karma Jimbaran. Komang is responsible for financial administration at Alpha Hotel Management.
Koko Adi Putra Jaya
Corporate HRM
As graduated faculty of communication from Dwijendra University, for majored in communication. Putra (nickname) has solid background in Human Resources. His experiences in futures, manufacture and hospitalities make him strong for networking with government, schools, colleges and civilians to become partnered. His motto is "Stop Wishing, Start Doing".
Nengah Suparsa
Corporate Project & Development Manager
With a proven background in hotel operations, Nengah Suparsa has worked for a number of reputable hotels and villa resorts during his career. These include a combination of branded and locally owned properties such as Aston, Sentosa Villa, The Elysian, Radisson, Downtown and Puri Wulandari. Prior to joining the team at Alpha Hotel Management, he previously enjoyed key roles in project planning and quality assurance.
